Technology has made traveling a lot easier in the past years and there are some amazing free applications out there. Here are 6 Free Apps You Need to Travel!
Magic Jack– This great app lets you call and text the US & Canada for FREE! All you need to do is make an account and you are able to call any US cell or landline. It’s pretty decent quality and has worked out great so far. All you need is an internet connection and you can start calling back to the US.
TripIt- This free app is great for organizing your travel itinerary in one place. It lets you load your flight information, hotels and much more. The app can work offline or when connected to the internet, it will update your flight schedule and other information.
TripAdvisor– The largest collection of travel information in one application. This app features forums, reviews and lets you books flights, hotels and much more. The user rating system makes it one of the best apps for finding new restaurants, bars, tours, and much more around the world. TripAdvisor recently bought out Viator
Flickr– Nothing is worse than losing your travel photos, luckily Flickr offers a free app that allows you to automatically back up your photos up to 1 Terabyte, which is a HUGE amount! (Around 2 MILLION photos)
Google Maps- The worlds best mapping application has a ton of great features. One of my favorites features is saving offline maps. Google maps is also great since it lets you navigate via public transport. It is an amazing application and has saved me so much time commuting around new cities.
XE- Currency Convertor- Don’t get ripped off by currency exchange anymore. The XE application gives you up to date currency conversions. It has currency conversions for hundreds of different countries and features a lot more advanced features like currency fluctuations.
